If implant treatment looks appropriate, the next stage is a more detailed assessment of your dental health and the areas that need treatment. Your clinician will explain the options that may be suitable, what each is intended to achieve and anything else that needs to be considered before a final plan can be agreed. Once the picture is clear, you should also understand the likely stages, costs and timescales before deciding whether to proceed.
If you decide to go ahead, treatment is planned around your individual clinical needs rather than a one-size-fits-all process. Before each stage, the team will explain what is happening, what you can expect afterwards and what the next step will be. The exact sequence depends on the treatment recommended for you, but you should always understand why each stage is needed and feel able to ask questions along the way.
